DIY Halloween Dress Up

When in doubt, go for classics! Audrey Hepburn’s iconic role in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s makes for an elegant pick on Halloween. To recreate this look you will need these basic styles:

The outfit:  The classic LBD (Little Black Dress) is all you need, with classic black pumps to match. You can find these classic pieces at Zara or H & M.

The accessories: Accessorize this look with chunky pearl necklace, oversized cat-eyed glasses and a small tiara.  Accessorize India houses a fun mix of cute and pretty accessories.

The Makeup: This look is all about a flawless base and accentuated eyes. So bring out your false lashes and let your eyes do the talking. Add a pinch of bronzer and blush for a natural glow. For the lips add a soft mix of pink and peach. Don’t forget to tie your hair into a bun and accessorize with a small tiara. You can find all these beauty products at Sephora, Bobbi Brown, or Mac.

Belle From Beauty and the Beast

It’s been every girl’s childhood dream to look like a Disney princess. Though most of them have elaborative costumes Belle has a simpler (read achievable) one.

The outfit: A pale blue dress with white apron will do the trick. Complete the look with nude pumps or pop red heels, depending on the look you’re going for. Cover Story and Mango always maintain a good collection of such dresses and shoes.

The accessories: Add to your hair a blue ribbon and you’re good to go. Don’t forget to pick up your favorite books in hand.

The Makeup: For the hair, curl them first and tie them in a ponytail with a blue ribbon. Use a foundation that is a bit lighter than your own skin color, since Belle’s completion is rather pale. Make your eyes look bigger by defining your crease line and applying a white liner in the inner corners and lower rim of your eye. Add a natural looking blush and a nude pink lipstick from Chanel or Inglot.
