Let’s Not Forget #20YearsOfKargil

“When you go home tell them of us and say for your tomorrow we gave our today.”

July 26, 1999 – it was on this day that our lion-hearted soldiers returned back home after winning the Kargil War. Since then we commemorate July 26 as Kargil Diwas to celebrate the valour of our heroes who fought with all their might to safeguard their motherland from vicious forces. This year we will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of this great conquest and venerate our brave soldiers and martyrs who sacrificed their life for a bigger cause.

To commemorate the gallantry of the heroes of Kargil who gave up their lives while defending their native soil, Nexus Select CITYWALK is organising ‘Let’s Not Forget #20YearsOfKargil’. The initiative is being taken to support the families of the martyrs of the Kargil War and pay tribute to the acts of valour shown by them. Our soldiers are the ones who don’t think twice before heading to the war field, they are the ones who don’t care about their own lives, and they are the ones who fight vehemently so we can all live in peace. So now it’s our turn to do the little bit we can to help and support their families for their losses. Nexus Select CITYWALK’s initiative is, in fact, a formidable step towards achieving this.

If you are willing to leave a hearty note for our brave hearts along with the donations, feel free to do so. All proceeds will go to the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA). Regardless of what you donate, your contribution is important to the families of those soldiers who died protecting their people including you. Just imagine how your little act of kindness can make a big difference in their lives.

Furthermore, you can also join the very talented bunch of musicians who will pay their musical tribute to the heroes of Kargil on 21st July, 6 pm onwards at Nexus Select CITYWALK.
