The idea of Valentine’s Day as a celebration of love caught popular attention in the 1300s when English poet Geoffrey Chaucer spoke of the day as the start of the mating season for birds. This year, Select CITYWALK helped all the love birds plan the perfect day of romance, joy, and celebration.

Come February, let us take a moment to pause from the hectic lives we lead and celebrate the people who make life a joyous journey. The décor at Select CITYWALK is all done up in the colours of this season – red, pink, and gold. Spend time shopping, dining, and having fun with your partner.

The way to the heart, they say, is through a gourmet experience. Celebrate the month of love at some of the most amazing restaurants and cafes this week. Pick your partner’s favourite cuisine and book a table at one of the city’s most romantic restaurants such as Burma Burma, Sattvik, Yum Yum Cha, Mamagoto, and Andrea’s Eatery. The warm ambiance, the lavish spread, the delectable fare – helped the couplesmake the most incredible memories this Valentine’s Day 2021.

The most delightful gifts on sale at the Valentine’s Day Fair at Select CITYWALK had many people return with a perfect gift for their loved ones. The fair had been put together by some of the best local and international brands. It had some of the latest fashion trends, premium chocolates, exclusive handbags and accessories, perfumes, and home décor and just the perfect gifts on display.

Music has a way of eloquently expressing our love. It has a way of tugging at the heartstrings and getting your feet tapping. The Valentine’s Music Festival had our bands performing and setting many hearts aflutter. All the musical memories helped herald all the beautiful times to come.

What can be more romantic, more beautiful than holding hands and watching an open-air movie screening under the stars, isn’t it? The screening of a heart-rending love story under the starry sky was the perfect opportunity for the love birds to have some merry time.

We at Select CITYWALK believe that Valentine’s Day is much more than romance. It is a day for affection and appreciation. It is a day to spread joy and cheer. It is a day to give back.

With that in mind, Select CITYWALK brought the Aahwan stall with handmade products by our Veer Naris, war widows of the Indian Army. It was a reflection of the gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers and their families. Another great way to give back and spread love is by donating a toy (old or new in good condition). Select CITYWALK teamed up with CANKIDS to distribute the toys and gifts, received in donations from you to children from the economically weaker sections of our society.
