Khyen Chyen With Us This Eid!
Spicy aromas, succulent mutton curries and titillating biryanis! What comes to mind when you think of those 3 scrumptious things? Delicious Kashmiri food of course! Living in Delhi (very close to our Himalayan neighbors) we should be surrounded by places that serve the delicacies of Kashmir, which are more commonly known as Wazwan. Yet, there has been a shortcoming in the restaurants that serve these delicious flavours. That is until very recently, when Khyen Chyen opened its doors at MySquare, Select CITYWALK!
This restaurant has brought to us the exotic flavors of Kashmir and that too in style! The word Khyen Chyen literally means to eat, to drink, and we absolutely love it!
If it weren’t obvious enough already, we’d like all you lovely people to come and join us at Select CITYWALK this Eid for a feast fit for a king at Khyen Chyen! The delicious food will have you coming back for more, which we can guarantee! The portion choices are generous with a choice between- Only Me, Hungry and Very Hungry (We love how that’s worded)
To start off, go straight for the Tabakh Maaz- crisp fried, mutton ribs! The simplicity of this dish is what takes it to the next level. You’ll fall in love as soon as you bite into the crispy yet succulent chunks of deliciousness!
Indulge in some mutton delicacies next. We recommend the Rogan Josh, which is soft mutton cooked with Kashmiri shallots, cockscomb, saffron, and mild spices. If you are feeling especially adventurous, try the Aab Gosh, which mutton slow cooked in fresh milk, flavored with garlic, ginger, fennel, mace, cardamom and clove. The flavours will be linger much after you’ve licked your plate clean!
If you would like to explore the chicken dishes, the Kokar Pakkhi is a dish that will definitely turn up the heat with its spicy curry! All these dishes tie up brilliantly with a side order of rice. The fact that they have an entire section just for chutney’s makes us smile!
Once you are satisfied with your meal, try another Kashmiri delicacy called Nun Chai, which is a delicious salted pink tea. To end this feast the way it should, order the Fireen, which is a sweet creamy pudding with almonds and saffron.
Try all these and more, and feel like you’ve transported to the breezy mountains of Kashmir, this Eid at Select CITYWALK!
