On the quest for a good bargain!
I’m one of those people who just cannot resist a good bargain. I’ll go to shop with a budget of some
amount in mind, see that there’s stuff on sale, and end up spending more than I intended to!!
Yes, I am a woman, and I admit to being a bargain-oholic!
There’s no thrill better than getting something for less than the amount its been intended for! I remember reading some lady’s interview, and she said something like “The less I pay for something, the more it’s worth to me. I have a dress that I paid so little for that I am afraid to wear it. I could spill something on it and then how would I replace it for that amount of money?”
For this very reason, I love the flea@nite at Select CITYWALK
Nestled on the first floor of Select CITYWALK, is a weekly flea market, which is the answer to the prayers of all bargain-hunters, and people looking for a quirky, different items to shop for!
I stepped in on a pleasant spring morning and was hooked!
From hand-painted shoes and wallets to beautiful lucknawi kurtas, elegant Indian jewellery and tons of accessories to totally change my look, I had the best time looking at the wide variety available and talking to the numerous “entrepreneurs”. These are people who’ve taken on their passion as their profession and are taking small steps to grow and become the best in their fields. A different taste, a passion for what you do, amazing products and good people skill… this seems to aptly describe every single person holding a stall at the Flea@nite!
I used to look forward to wednesdays because they brought with them the middle of the working week ! The flea@nite at Select CITYWALK has given me another reason to celebrate them now!
